EARTH ART STUDIO
fine craft boutique
About Us
Earth Art Studio is a fine craft boutique in beautiful Door County, WI, a renowned tourist area surrounded by the waters of Lake Michigan and Green Bay. Owned and operated by artist Pam Banker, Earth Art Studio features her clay art, tiles, and hand-crafted jewelry, alongside an extensive variety of original fine crafts from local and American artists.
Pam relocated to Door County in 2005, after living in Madison for over 25 years and earning her Master of Science degree in Social Work at U.W. Madison. In 1990, she opened a private career counseling and psychotherapy practice helping others to connect with their natural talents and passions. At the same time, she was also discovering her interest in art as she began experimenting with clay. A friend gave her some potter's clay and she began creating small dolphin sculptures which she mounted on Door County limestone rocks. She sold a few to some friends and colleagues which sparked her desire to develop her skills further.
Through self-schooling, art classes, and hours of practice, her clay work expanded into larger works and commissions including wall pieces and other sculptural forms. In 2002, Pam opened her first small gallery, in her home called Earth Art Gallery where she featured her clay work and held small shows and open houses.
In 2005 she relocated to Door County, a place she considered her "heart home" where she had vacationed and worked summers in her youth. In the spring of 2005, Pam opened Earth Art Studio with a storefront in downtown Sister Bay. Her new location is in the peaceful and lush garden level of the Shops at Country Walk next to the Piggly Wiggly in "uptown" Sister Bay and is open year round.
Now in it's 16th season, with Pam at the helm, Earth Art Studio continues to expand it's selection of fine crafts and stays true to it's vision ..."unique artisan creations you won't find anywhere else in Door County".
